Ephesians 6:14-17 says:

(KJV) 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel
of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all
the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God:
N.L.T. 6:13-17 says:
13 Use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the
battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of
truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that
comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In every battle you will
need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. 17 Put on
salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

To withstand the devil's attacks we must put on “The Whole armor of God”

Let's look at what we should “Put On” to be strong in the Lord:

Put On Truth

Put On Righteousness

Put On Peace;

above all, take the shield of Faith (with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts
of the wicked one)

Put on Salvation

and take up the Sword of the Spirit (Word of God)

The Armor is our Bible knowledge of the Word of God. It equips us for battle, the battle is
in the mind!! 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Knowing the Word of God can cause you to have victory...or defeat if you do not know it!

Knowledge and its proper use wins battles – Isaiah 5:13 says:

(KJV) 13Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge:
and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

Hosea 4:6 says:

(KJV) 6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected
knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast
forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Destroyed = (combat word)

2 Corinthians 2:11 says:

(KJV) 11Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Most of us own a Bible – but its not making you free – implied in the word 'Know 'is to
do! Jesus wants us free!

John 8:31-32
N.L.T. 31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if
you keep obeying my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set
you free.”

What we know of the Word will determine the length, height, and width of our victory!

Victory and ignorance are impossible roommates, knowledge (of the Word) and its
proper use is VICTORY!!!

Also, I would like to remind you of 1 Peter 5:8 where it tells us to resist our enemy—

The word 'resist' there means to oppose

Oppose means: be in opposition with, disagree with – How do we do that?

Remember Jesus speaking the Word to satan in Matthew chapter 4, when Jesus told him
(satan) It is WRITTEN --- We too must use the Sword of the Spirit by saying --- Speak the
Word of God to the devil and he will flee!
