Moms with preschoolers are rarely free and if they are, its only a few minutes here and there.

Or they have no time they can count on – no two days are alike, no periods of calm to count
on.  Yet God desires to meet with you.

Picture Him waiting endlessly as you miss your appointment with Him day after day!  You
know you disappoint Him and you desperately need that steady stream of advice to do a
good job and be a good mother.

LET’S LOOK AT JESUS FOR A MOMENT
Do you think He could meet with you right in the middle of the lively events of your busy
day?

Didn’t He meet Peter out in a boat?  Didn’t He communicate with two men on the road to
Emmaus as they walked?  Didn’t He get Zacchaeus’ attention in a tree?  Didn’t He share His
wisdom in gardens, on mountainsides, during meals, at the beach, in courtrooms and even
in cemeteries?

WHY CAN’T HE DO THE SAME FOR YOU?
Maybe He could talk with you while you fold laundry or peel carrots as the children play
nearby.

Maybe He could minister to you while you and the kids rake leaves or shovel snow.
He could even share His heart in the middle of the night as you rock the baby to sleep.

Bring your prayer requests in the shower.  Praise Him while doing the dishes.  Sing to Him
while vacuuming.

Take a Walkman with you while you are exercising or jogging, or taking the baby for a walk.
You can listen to the Bible on tape or listen to an anointed preaching or singing tape.

Take a spare Bible with you to doctor appointments or other errands.
Put a radio on your kitchen counter and turn on a good Christian radio station.  God will
meet you through the air waves, through glorious music.

Keep a notepad handy so you can jot down something special when you hear or feel an
impression from Him. Save it so that you can meditate on it later.
The more creative you become at spending time with Him, the more you can see that His
creativity will become more than yours.

He will begin to solve many of your problems and provide many nuggets of wisdom.

You will discover so many moments of joy and peace during your hectic days. He will help
you to figure out a solution to your problems.

The Lord knows your heart.

He knows if you are trying to get close to Him to learn the things He wants you to know.

He will meet us where we are  --

If He sees us desiring to spend time with Him, He will reach out to meet us more than halfway.
